New Zealand Residents

Sacred Heart Girls’ College is an Integrated Catholic School. The special character of a Catholic school is written into its
charter and is reflected in the enrolment policy that applies to all students. This policy is enclosed in the prospectus
available from the College office (go Contact Us). The closing date for NZ residents to make a final application is the 30th
June, for the following academic year. Late applications will be dealt with on a case by case basis.
Early application is recommended. Please contact us directly with any queries regarding your daughter’s application.

Overseas Applicants

Sacred Heart Girls’ College is a signatory to the Code of Practice for the Pastoral Care of International Students as
published by the Ministry of Education. Copies of this document are available on request from the school office or from
the NZ Ministry of Education at www.minedu.govt.nz.

The following checklist is a guide only to making application.

1. Obtain and complete the application forms (go Contact Us).
2. You will receive an Offer of Placement, with an invoice for a full year’s fees, if your application is successful.
3. If you accept the Offer of Placement, make full payment of one year’s fees.
4. The school will provide a receipt of payments including an assurance of accommodation, which is required to
   obtain a Student Visa from the NZ Immigration Services at www.immigration.govt.nz or your local NZ Embassy.
5. You will also be required to provide character references, recent school reports and medical authorisation,
   regarding your daughter, as part of your application.
6. All documentation to be in English or verified a true and accurate translation by an appropriate person.
7. Please ensure you understand the conditions of tuition and refunding that are included in your application pack.
